press conference baby

Today I was on a presenting team for a mock press conference. There were 5 of us. We wrote a press release saying we were donating money to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, and we wore the bracelets to the presentation. Woo, I finally got one of these things. The visiting journalism kids were really nice. I got to do some mingling during lunch.
The countdown is beginning for my promotions class. I need to be mocking up pages for the book. There will soon be tryouts for who will be on the presenting team. I plan on trying out, but after today's performance I don't know how well I'd do. Anyway I guess we'll just see.
Right now I'm just chillin in my room. I should definitely be working on SOMETHING, anything really. There's plenty to choose from. At least I am getting laundry done. And listening to some good music.

snowy day
As per Eileen's request, I am writing a brief update before I retire to bed. Stupid, Euro-traveling loser....hehe sike! just kidding. Anyway I'm just now (approx. 12:44am) getting home from a ridiculous bout of homework at the comm school. I was reading up and taking notes on Eli Lilly for a mock press conference tomorrow. The roads are kind of icy now after having been snowed and sleeted on all day today. So, the dealie has been delayed from starting at 10am to 11am. But we still have to get there an hour early to meet in groups and prep and whatever. I am tired as shit.
Also, as I was wiping the snow off my car this morning I saw my neighbors, who I hadn't seen in a while. Jonathan rode off in his bike and then Vijay came out to wipe down his car, too. It's been declared that Vijay and I need to have lunch and hang out.
ok I have nothing else to say. my life is fairly dull at the moment. Oh um apparently I am going on a graduation trip to puerto rico. I have no such funds for this trip. Actually no time either. Promotions class will still be running after graduation. I think national's isn't until like june or so. Of course, that's presuming we'll make it that far. I think we might. Damnit I hope we go. It's in nashville, which I don't care too much about. But, I want to go. I want to have a good campaign. We've worked hard. I think we'll make it. ok that's really it. goodnight!
